Credit Crunch and Students

Credit crunch has effected young people in many ways such as:
- increased prices of many goods,
- foods
- clothes
- bus fares
- cinema
This has influenced the social life of many teenagers and young people. They may feel as though they are limited from certain things due to less money. This has began from the lack of jobs available. Many are not being employed (especially from the BRG areas) and many are losing their jobs, cars and even homes.
As a solution, we must all realise that money does not grow on trees! We should try to save and not waste money.
- Perhaps rent a DVD and watch it at home.
- Or sign up for training courses to get experienced, ready for employment
- Buy cheaper products, don’t always go for the expensive option!! (TRY THE DOCKS SHOPS LOL)
Students have also wanted to say a big thank you to the Local Education Authority for giving over 16’s who are still in education motivation - EMA! ox

Thanks for stopping by the new online home for the Grangetown Youth Club.
The Grangetown Information Shop / Buzz Cafe offers information and advice to young people and the community. We have two computer suites, a social cafe and meeting area, discussion group areas and a chill out zone. We run issue-based sessions covering citizenship, racism, bullying, health issues, drug awareness and more. Study support sessions are also available to give young people assistance with project work and homework.
Be sure to check out our Timetable to find out when our provisions run. Each session at the Buzz has much, much more to offer - come & see for yourself…You miss it, you miss out!
